As we think about how to build peace in our world, we must think about how to build peace in ourselves first. I have long held that if you wish to change the world then start with the person in the mirror. To that end I will offer a thought (or two) about bringing God’s peace into our hearts.
Most of us want justice for the other guy but mercy for ourselves. The reality of God’s Creation is that we are all deserving of God’s harsh justice. But instead, He offers us His unending mercy. Let that sink in when you are despairing that there is any peace to be found in ourselves or God’s universe.
