Below is a modification of a newly released work by the author Omar El Akkad titled One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This, which is a condemnation of the hypocrisy of the West in not only allowing the Israeli genocide to occur in Gaza but in aiding and abetting that genocide.
He is correct, one day most will claim that they had always been opposed to this atrocity. Touching really, but frankly, what good is it to be opposed to yesterday’s war. If you are not opposed to specific wars being fought right now, then you are not antiwar. We must as individuals, as a society, as followers of Jesus the Christ, gather up the moral courage to oppose today’s wars, as they are being waged. Better yet, how about stating that not only are you opposed to current wars, but are also opposed to the next war. Peace Now!
